ABOUT THE UA
The UA began in the late 19th century as the United Association of Journeymen Plumbers, Gas Fitters, Steam Fitters, and Steam Fitters’ Helpers of the United States and Canada. Eventually, this union branched out to include sprinkler fitters, service technicians and welders.
Over the years, this union has faced high profile corruption charges; connections to organized crime; and involvement in the ULLICO scandal.
It all adds up to a significant loss of reputation and power – which may make you wonder if this is the group of people you want representing your interests.
